Riley Rand

Riley Rand, Jr. 81 of Odessa, Texas was called by our Lord on November 18, 2016.
He was born in Marlin, Texas to Riley and Easter-Masters Rand on May 12, 1935.
The family moved to Odessa in 1942 where he attended Douglas Elementary and graduated from
Blackshear High School. Riley worked for Gulf Oil Co. and Chevron Oil until his retirement in 1997.
He was an active and faithful member of Texas & Clements St. Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Riley and Easter Rand and sister, Bertha Jernigan.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 60 years, Celestine Rand, two daughters,
Jacqueline Carrillo and JoAnn Rand, and a grandson, Ociel Carrillo, Jr. Two sisters, Dorothy Moore of
Abilene, Tx. and Ruth Rheams (Albert Rheams) of DeSoto, Tx. and brother, Henry Rand of Odessa, Tx.
He will be remembered best, for his friendly, down to earth nature and his great sense of humor.
He worked faithfully in his church and loved his family with his whole heart.
Viewing will be held at Martinez Funeral Home from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm and visitation from
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, November 25, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 26th at 10:00 am at
Texas & Clements St. Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under Martinez Funeral Home.
