Our beautiful mother, Rita T. Moreno, rose to the heavens with our Lord on Easter Sunday surrounded by her loved ones.
This, alone, is a testament of Mom’s enduring love and true faith. Our Mother, giving us the gift of life, also shared with us the ultimate gift of Love. Through her example of Christ-like persona, everyone that knew our mom was touched by her kindness, sweet love, comforting smile, and wise understanding. Mom had a way about her that exuded grace and beauty. Her sense of humor knew no boundaries as did her love and kindness for her fellow man. Mom was always ready to help anyway she could by being a member of the Catholic Community.
Our mom left us at 92 years of age, predeceased by her parents, Nicolino and Dominga Tavarez and all of her siblings, 6 sisters and 8 brothers, who all originated in La Mula, Ojinaga, Estado de Chihuahua, Mexico. We find comfort in our pain knowing that she is now basking in the warmth and love of Christ in the heavens along with our deceased loved ones; our dad, Rosalio H. Moreno, our brothers, Carlos (CT) and Patrick Moreno, our niece, Mya Moreno, our sister-in-law, Sylvia R. Moreno (Efrain), and our brother-in-law, Frank Cruz Jr. (Janie).
Mom is survived by her children, Efrain T. Moreno, Mary M. Cabrera (Bobby), Terry T. Brown (Ronald), Alfonso T. Moreno (Amelia), Gilbert T. Moreno (Martha), Rosie M. Almanza (Mario), Luis T. Moreno, Janie M. Cruz, Fernando T. Moreno, and Luis A. Moreno.
Along with 33 Grandchildren, 71 Great-Grand Children, and 10 Great-Great-Grand Children.
We, the family, would like to extend an expression of gratitude to Home Hospice for excellent care and the special attention to our mother’s needs.
