Robert L Lyles

Robert Lee Lyles, 79, of Pecos, Texas is now rejoicing in Heaven! He went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Bobby was born in Pecos, Texas and raised in the community of Ysleta in El Paso, Texas to Dedrick and Antonia Lyles. Bobby and Patricia married on January 13, 1965, and raised 5 children – Gina, Michelle, Robbie, Adrian, and Cassie.

Bobby’s loyalty to God, to his family and to his work was steadfast. His endeavors included becoming a small business owner of a local gas station, delivering beverages and condiments to various business, and servicing the City of Pecos for 20 years where he finally chose retirement. Bobby also enjoyed working as a mechanic on vehicles, carpentry, and repairing items around the home. 

He thoroughly enjoyed cooking BBQ for family and friends.  - a trait he proudly passed on to his kids and grandkids! He was also known as a musician - playing instruments like the guitar, drums and of course his 8 track cassettes. Listing to music from Elvis Presley, Fat Domino, Little Joe, Latin Breed, Sonny Ozone and various Tejano artists and oldies. It was almost always expected that the small BBQ would quickly turn into a Jamboree.

Bobby L Lyles is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, children, Gina Cabesuela of Pecos,Texas; Michelle Leyva of Monahans, Texas, Robbie Lyles of Pecos, Texas, Adrian Lyles of Pecos, Texas and Cassie Abila of Abilene, Texas; brother, Dedrick Lyle Lyles of Pecos Texas, sister Nyda Juarez of Pecos Texas,

Bobby also leaves to cherish his memory grandchildren; Gina Ann, and Robin Ochoa, Bryce and Bella, Leyva, Adrian Junior, Ajiana, Aaron, and Audrey, Lyles, Anissa and Robert, Lyles, Justin Lyles, Royce, Abila; and 21 great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The viewing of Mr. Lyles is set from 12:00PM-8:00PM Saturday August 12, 2023, with a Memorial service set for 3:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel located at 1040 South Dixie Blvd, Odessa, Tx, 79761 with Minister Rodney Abila and Evangelist Justin Lyles officiating.
