Bishop Robert Ray Earl, 72, of Odessa went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2016 in Odessa, Texas
Visitation will be held 10am to 11am Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Living Vision Church Ministries.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Living Vision Church Ministries Pastor James D. Porter 525 S Grandview, Odessa, Texas with Dr. J.G. McCann Sr. officiating.
Robert Earl Ray was born March 4, 1944 in Coolidge, Texas to William and Bertha Ray.
He attended school and graduated from Blackshear High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served for nine years. He later moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he lived for 47 years and pastored 26 of those years at God's Greater Holy Temple. He returned to Odessa November 1, 2014 serving under Prayer House C.O.G.I.C. Pastor Charles E. Turner until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his father William Ray and mother Bertha Ray.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Ray, Daughters Robbye Littles of Anchorage Alaska, Shundra Williams of Killeen, Texas and his god son Samuel Wyche of Anchorage, Alaska. Five grandsons, Phillip Crawford, Gabe Littles of Anchorage Alaska, Darien Hubert of Denton, Texas and Tyler and Rian McKinley of Killeen, Texas, three granddaughters, Shaniqua Crawford, Sarah Littles of Anchorage Alaska and LaToya Crawford of Dallas, Texas. He leaves behind ten great grandchildren. Three Brothers, Wilmer (Sue) Ray, Billy (Patricia) Ray, George (June) Ray, Two sisters, Doris (Sammy) Lewis and Carolyn Owens and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
