Robert Carroll “R.C.” Hutchison was born in Lee County, Texas to James Hutchison and LouiseThompson-Hutchison on October 1, 1927.
R.C. was baptized as a young child at Greater St. John Baptist Church of Odessa, TX.
R.C. was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp and served in World War II, where he was awarded the Victory Medal, during his combat service.
R.C. later moved to Los Angeles and worked in Waste Management for the City of Los Angeles for many years, where he later retired.
R.C., soon through his love for Christ, accepted the calling and founded St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, CA, where he served as lead Pastor for many years, until moving back to Texas, where he then served as Pastor of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Midland Texas from 1994 to 2016.
Reverend R.C. is preceded in death by his parents, James and Louise Hutchison, brothers, James Hutchison, L.C. Hutchison and Melvin Hutchison.
He leaves behind to cherish, wife, Ann, daughter, Maxine (Hutchison) Porter-Allen, sons, James Hutchison and R.C. Hutchison, Jr., daughter, Roshaun (Hutchison) Stovell, sons, Rodric Hutchison and Raymond Hutchison and daughter, Rosiland Hutchison. He also leaves grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as a host of family, friends and loved ones.
