Roberto Montez

Roberto A. Montez, 71, of Odessa, passed away on October 30, 2016 at Medical Center Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10 am -9 pm and Rosary at 7 pm on November 2, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday November 3 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Frank Chavez of St Joseph's Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Peaceful Garden. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
Roberto was born in Meoqui, Chihuahua to Octavio and Paula Montez on July 5, 1945. He married Victoria on November 8, 1969 in Guadalupe, Chihuahua. He worked as a roustabout in the oilfield for many years before retiring. He enjoyed being his family and especially joking around with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father Octavio Montez and his parents Paula and Anastacio Martinez.
Roberto is survived by wife Victoria Montez, his son Ruben Montez and wife Rosa, daughter Rosalba Bermea and husband Jesus, daughter Susana Andrade and husband Raul, daughter Christina Medina and husband Hector. Sister Rosa Lerma, brothers Mario Martinez, Manuel Martinez and Simon Acosta. Grandchildren Angelica McMillian and husband Robert, Melony , Jessica, Raul Jr., Jesus Jr., Imelda, Robert, Jasmine, Rene, Ruben Jr., Hector Jr., Brandon, Daniel, Adrian, Victoria and great-granddaughter Evelyn and one on the way and a host of nieces , nephews and friends.
