Rogelio Baca

Rogelio Roy Miranda Baca, 64, of Odessa, passed away on October 10, 2014 in Odessa.
Visitation will be 9am to 9pm Wednesday and Thursday October 15 and 16, 2014 with a Rosary Thursday at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 10am Friday October 17, 2014 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with Father Chavez officiating. Burial will follow at Ector Cemetery in Rose Hill Garden. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
Roy was born in Odessa, TX to Guillermo and Petra Baca on July 26, 1950. Roy developed a love for horses at a young age and worked at the Odessa Riding Academy breaking horses and taking care of them. He was also involved in the trail rides. During the time he was a Floor Covering Installer, he also owned and trained several racing quarter horses, owning his last horses in the early 90s. He also enjoyed fishing, was a Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns fan. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.
Roy is preceded in death by his wife Elva Baca, father Guillermo Baca, son Jorge G. Baca, and sisters Sara B. Galindo and Maria Baca.
Roy is survived by his mother Petra Baca, daughters, Michelle Baca and Angelica Baca Hector, sons Roy Baca Jr., Israel Baca Venisha, Damian Baca sisters Sylvia Campos Arturo, Alicia Guerrero, Isabel Moreno brothers Ector Baca Lorine and Erasmo Baca and fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
