Roman L Lujan, 85, Odessa, passed away on July 8, 2023 in Odessa.

Visitation Wednesday, July 12, 2023 1PM-9PM

Rosary will be held at 7PM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 Martinez Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 

with Fr. Chavez of St. Joseph's Catholic Church , officiating. 

Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery - Peaceful Gardens Section on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:30PM.

Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

Roman L Lujan was born in Terlingua, TX to Agapito and Paula Lujan on February 28, 1938.

He married Maria Neri Chacon Lujan in Odessa, TX.  He worked as a welder and supervisor for Odessa Drum Company for many years until his retirement.

Roman was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who never missed a soccer, softball, basketball, baseball or football game his two grandchildren participated in.  His hobbies included hunting in his younger years...and also loved to fish, watch westerns, wrestling, boxing and watching his favorite football team the Kansas City Chiefs.  He was a man with a heart of gold, and was loved by many.  Many of his great nieces and nephews new him as Superman, and he definitely was a (Super)man who will be greatly missed.

Roman is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Neri, parents Agapito and Paula Lujan, brothers Agapito Lujan Jr., Miguel Lujan, and sister Asusana Lujan.

Roman is survived by his children Florinda Subia and husband Gary, Roman Lujan Jr. and wife Lupe.  Brothers Ruben Lujan, Ismael Lujan, and sisters Rosario Navarrete, Maria Gonzalez, Rosa Lujan.  Grandchildren Melissa Subia and wife Susana Subia, Christian Subia and wife Yazmine Subia, Steven Saenz, Syann Flores, and Shyla Ramirez.  Great-Grandchildren: Cambrie Gonzalez, Brayden Pando, Izaiah Flores, Izabella Flores, Izalaya Flores, and Jayzaii Saenz.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Subia, Christian Subia, James Lujan, Anthony Juarez, Sammy Hinojos, Oscar Hinojos, Edward Gonzalez, Ryan Ramirez.
