Rosa Morales

Rosa Melida Morales, 55 years, of Odessa, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.

Rosa was born in Coyame, Chihuahua on December 1, 1964 to Hortencia Ramirez Arroyo and Manuel Morales.  Rosa was a loving, caring person who loved being with her family. She loved to cook, dance and specially to sing.  She loved having karaoke with her family and even by herself. She loved having the radio on and singing or just enjoying music. Out of all the things she loved, she especially loved being a grandma, her grandchildren were everything to her and she would spoil them every chance she got.  Her happiest moments were when she became a grandma and just being around them and taking care of them.  The one thing that stands out the most is her LOVE, she loved every one of her nieces and nephews, and always made everyone feel loved and special. Rosa was always the life of the party, laughing and smiling.   Rosa was the best wife, mother, grandma, aunt and sister.

Rosa is preceded in death by her mother, Hortencia Arroyo.

She is survived by her father, Manuel Morale; husband Abraham Rodriguez; children, Abraham (Brenda) Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Paloma (Scott) Flores, Carla (Ismael Maldonado) Rodriguez, grandchildren Oliver and Violeta, siblings Moraima (Arturo) Proano of Ojinaga, Olivia (Zenon-deceased) Navarrete of El Paso, Texas, Socorro (Arturo) Lujan of Jal, New Mexico, Maria Victoria (Sergio) Tavarez of Jal, New Mexico, Manuel (Mercedes) Morales of Odessa.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Tony Franco officiating.  Family has opted for private cremation to follow.  Arrangements are entrusted to Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory.
