Rosendo Ramirez

Rosendo N. Ramirez, 89 of Odessa, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020 in Odessa, Texas.

Visitation will be held 9:00 am to 9:00 pm Thursday, March 12, 2020 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Home.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2020 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Odessa II Section.

Rosendo was born on in Coyame, Chihuahua on August 8, 1930 to Josefa Navarrete and Pilar Ramirez. He married the love of his life, Rita Olivas on February 26, 1953 and remained married 67 years until his departure. Together they raised nine beautiful children.  Rosendo was a hardworking family man who enjoyed being surrounded by his family and always had a smile on his face. He was the life of the party and loved to dance.

He is preceded in death by parents, Pilar and Josefa Ramirez; siblings Armando Ramirez, Otilia Olivas, Rosalia Ojeda and Dolores Ramirez.

Rosendo will  greatly be missed and  leaves his beautiful memories to cherish to his loving wife, Rita Olivas Ramirez; children, David (Ruth) Ramirez, Martin (Helen) Ramirez, Servando (Tona) Ramirez, Martha (Manuel) Ortega  from Denver, Colorado, Pilar (Bicken) Jasso, Clara (Oscar) Alvarez, Rosendo Jr. (Crissy) Ramirez, Angela (Gerardo) Chavez and Chapo (Grace) Ramirez from Odessa; numerous grandkids and great grandchildren; siblings Jorge Ramirez and Maria Elvia Andrade; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Ramirez, Silvio Ramirez Jr., Oscar Alvarez Jr., Eduardo Ortega, Samuel Jasso, Leonardo Jasso, Servando Ramirez Jr. and Joe Caballero.
