Our loving Rosie B. Stevenson Madea passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 5, 2014 in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 85. She was born to the late Lettress babe Bonner and Nettie MaSuda Hubbard in Bernham, Texas on January 27, 1928. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. James Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor RT McNeil officiating. Interment will follow to Ector County Cemetery.

Madea started school in Brenham and graduated in El Paso Texas. She further her education some in college and then receive her license in beauty school. For a number of years she was a homemaker employed with Bronco Chevrolet owners. She had many many talents and skills. In 1949 she married the love of her life Eddie Jr Stevenson where between these two was born seven healthy children within 10 years. In 1966 on Christmas Day her love was called home from a car accident, in which all 9 family member were in the same vehicle, our Madea through our Savior and Lord recovered from numerous a broken bones including her back, to raise all seven of us as a widow alone with our Lord and savior. She never remarried, now talk about the Real MADEA Who trust in the Lord our Savior. MaSuda our grandmother stepped in immediately to help after the accident but after recovery our Madea put on her breast plate of righteousness with God and raise her children to fear God and do well because those who wait on the Lord will prosper. She waited and God seen her through it all 85 years of a prosperous life.

Preceded in death by her children Dennis Stevenson and Linda Stevenson Butler and husband Eddie Jr. Stevenson, God Sisters Pearlie Mae Jenkins and Dorothy McMarion.

She left to cherish her memories are her children Don Stevenson, Eddie Ruthie and Rick Stevenson, Katie Joe Stevenson Laeng, Kathy JW Stevenson Jones and aunt Gladys Deaver, God sisters, Helen Winfield, Bobbie Caufield, Helen Jones, Margaret Grant and Mary Reese, five grandchildren, Victor Drake Walker, Glenn Marquette Butler, Lakesha Caufield, Marcus Niblett, Marsalis Niblett, Arlington and Tanisha Lynch, 10 great grandchildren and her beloved cousin Larry Sledge and Fannie Lawrence and children.

Arrangements are under the direction of Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory of Odessa, Texas
