Ruben Munoz Sr.

Ruben J. Munoz was born in Staton, Texas on June 2, 1936, Son of Jose Munoz and Estella Jasso Munoz.  Ruben (AKA BOB ) Moved to Odessa Texas where became a professional Welder by trade.  

He met his beauty Enedina Mireles Munoz and married her on September 16^th,1957. They had 6 children, Elena m. Munoz, Ruben J Munoz Jr, Rudy Munoz, Linda Munoz Navarrete, Jose Munoz.  Mr. Munoz had 18 grandchildren which includes great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  

Rubens’ love for boxing allowed him the opportunity to travel to many states to fight, he had won several matches.  After years of hard work and dedication he won the title Featherweight Champ.  Ruben loved dancing with his wife, they loved country music. The song they loved to dance to was Neon Moon. They were married 64 beautiful years.  Ruben was a devoted family man who loved his kids. He was always there when someone needed help. 

Ruben is preceded in death by his Wife Enedina Mireles Munoz. 

He is survived by his 2 children Linda Navarrete and Juan Munoz. 

Just like George Strait is the King of Country Music.   Ruben Munoz will always be remembered as THE FEATHERWEIGHT KING OF TEXAS!! And a working man!  Mr. Munoz passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday February 21^st,2024.
