Rudy Urias, 42, of Odessa, Texas passed away May 25, 2024.

Rudy was born to Norma Gomez and Rudy Urias, Sr. on December 9, 1981. He went to school at Odessa High School. He worked as a brick layer and had multiple trades such as Construction, Mechanics, Plumbing, and assisted in building houses.

Rudy brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives, with his kind heart and his big smile while showing off his dimples. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed taking his dog Tony for walks. He loved caring for his nephews and nieces. When anyone needed a helping hand fixing something he was always there to lend his help. He never met a stranger, he was loved and known by many. Rudy was a big character.

Rudy’s presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Although he has left this earthly realm, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. We take solace knowing that he has joined his beloved son and father in heaven and finding eternal peace and happiness.

Rudy is preceded by Father; Rudy Urias Sr., Son; Emmanuel “Nano” Urias, Grandparents; Manuel and Manuela Urias, Grandfather; Juan Vuelvas, Niece; Arianie Rose Tijerina, Cousin; Miguel Grado, along with numerous aunts & uncles.

Rudy Urias is survived by his Mother; Norma Gomez, Stepfather; David Gomez, Sons; Ethan Madero, Elijah Urias, Devon Urias and Alikai Oranday, Sisters; Crissy Urias Tijerina (Tim), and Emeralda Urias, Brother; John Urias (Reanna), Grandmother; Micaela Vuelvas, Nephews and Nieces; Jaiden, Davion, Julian and Kaliyah Tijerina, Isaac and Isaiah Beseril, Destiny, Serenity, and Faith Pineda, Jazlynn Urias and Zakanie Tijerina.

Pallbearers will be; Ethan Madero, Elijah Urias, Jaiden Tijerina, Mark Vuelvas, Damian Escobedo, and Rafael Robles.

Honorary Pallbearers; Davion Tijerina and Julian Tijerina.

Visitation will be held Thursday June 6, 2024 from 1PM – 9PM at Martinez Funeral Home ~ Outside Chapel with a Rosary at 7PM. Mass will be held at 2PM Friday June 7, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Cremation will be held at a later date with Rudy’s ashes to spread with his son Emmanuel “Nano” Urias.

The Family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Medical Center Hospital – ICU in Odessa, Texas for their care. Rudy gave the gift of life through organ donation. Rudy’s organs have restored life’s promises for many families.
