Salvador (Sal) Carrasco, 67, returned to his eternal resting place on July 22nd, 2022 in his hometown.
The viewing of Salvador Carrasco will be held on Thursday, July 28th from 9am-1pm for family and from 1pm-9pm for friends at Martinez Funeral Home. The rosary will begin at 7pm on Thursday, July 28th at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday July 29, 2022 at 2:00pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
Salvador Carrasco was born and raised in Odessa, Texas to Benita Valenzuela and Salvador Carrasco. He graduated from Ector High School in 1974. He then enlisted in the Navy and served our country from 1974-1978. Salvador was an airman for the USS Kitty Hawk and took pride in his service. Shortly after his discharge he was employed by Odessa College were he was a part of the janitorial team. Salvador Carrasco was also a craftsman and handyman, if you had anything in need of fixing or building he was the man to call.
Salvador is preceded in death by his mother (Benita Valenzuela), father (Salvador Carrasco), sister (Maria Felix Carrasco Serrano) and great niece (Benita Flores). Salvador is survived by his sister Rosa Carrasco Gutierrez, brother Samuel Carrasco and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
We would like to extend our greatest appreciation to the employees of the Veterans Affair in Big Spring and to the nurses and doctors at Odessa Regional Medical Center who took great care of him on his last days.
