Samuel Houston

Samuel Christopher Houston age 60 of Odessa Texas passed away on April 28th, 2018 in Odessa Texas.

A memorial life celebration service will be held for family and friends on May 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E Bus 20, Odessa, Texas. Reverend David Houston Of God's Rainbow Promises Church of Midland will be officiating. A reception will follow at 2821 W Dengar Midland Texas.

Sam was born in Clovis, New Mexico on August 5th 1957 to Howard and Karlyn Houston. He was a graduate of Odessa High School class of 1976. He worked as an expert construction tile layer and remodeler for various companies in the area as well as in New Mexico. He was an avid reader and loved to play chess.

Sam was preceded in death by his mother Karlyn Elizabeth Houston.

He is survived by daughter Christina Villelunga of St Peters Minnesota, sister Suzan Houston of Odessa Texas, Brother Bill Houston of San Angelo Texas, Brother David Houston of Midland Texas, Brother Charles (Chuck) Houston of Odessa Texas, and father Howard Houston of Odessa Texas. He is survived by nephews Corey Houston of Ely England, Chance Houston of Amarillo Texas, Houston Golden of Odessa Texas, and nieces Kayla Bryant of Odessa Texas and Balee Houston of Odessa Texas.

Memorial donations may be made to the Make a Wish foundation of Midland Odessa in his honor. The family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the staff at Deering's nursing home for caring for their loved one in his last few months of life.
