Santos Porras

Santos Valenzuela Porras, age 48, of Odessa, TX, passed away in Odessa, TX at Medical Center Hospital on Wednesday, February 23 ^rd , 2022. He began his earthly journey in Palomas Numero Uno, Chihuahua, Mexico on November 2 ^nd , 1973, born to Alvaro Agapita (Valenzuela) Porras. He was a beloved brother, godfather, uncle, cousin, and friend.

In addition to his parents, those who precede him to his heavenly home, include his sister Cruzcelia Porras, his two brothers, Jose Luis Porras and Martin Porras.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his siblings: Erbey Porras of Odessa; sisters: Ramona Porras de Yanez of Monahans, and Maria Soto and Elizabeth Porras of Odessa. Twenty nieces and nephews: Ivan Porras, Crystal Esquivel, Jeseray Soto, Destiny Porras, Erica Yanez, Eliseo Yanez, Evaristo Yanez Jr., Eric Yanez, Beatriz Ramirez, Yadira Franco, Martin Porras, Jesse Porras, Diego Porras, Elvis Porras, Nidia Porras, Erbey Porras, Adrian Porras, Alvaro Porras, Christian Porras, and Yurika Porras.

Santo’s lived life to the fullest whether it was traveling, working, or spending time with his friends and family. He enjoyed doing activities such as running track, cross country and playing volleyball. He was loving, kind, caring and positive despite all the obstacles he encountered in his lifetime. “That whoever believes may have eternal life in him.” John 3:15

The Porras Family would like to express their gratitude to Amy LVN, Amanda RN, Monica RN, Norman RN, and the rest of the staff of Medical Center Hospital.

Serving as pallbearers were Eliseo Yanez, Evaristo Yanez Jr., Martin Porras Jr., Elvis Porras, Jonathan Chavez, Angel Valenzuela, Saul Esquivel and Erbey Porras Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, February 28 ^th , 2022 at St. John Catholic Church in Monahans with Fr. Joe Raj officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Martinez Funeral.
