Selestina Bustos

May 29, 1932 — July 7, 2014

Selestina Sele Luna Bustos passed away peacefully in her home in Odessa on Monday, July 7, 2014, at the age of 82. She was born in Marfa, Texas, on May 29, 1932 to Eusebio G. Luna and Merced Lara Luna. On July 12, Selestina and her loving husband, Sigifredo, would have celebrated 66 anniversary years of marriage.

She was a very skilled and talented homemaker, who had a remedy for anything needed and was an awesome cook There was always an open invitation to eat at any time. The neighborhood kids would smell her good cooking and would come by for snacks at all times of the day. Her happy personality was shown as she softly hummed while doing chores around the house or cooking in the kitchen. That little trait happened to become hereditary for some of her family members who also found themselves humming when doing certain things be it in classrooms, offices, home, hair drying and other times.
She was very caring, loving, compassionate and generous a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand. She put everyone else first before herself.

She was very passionate about her Texas Rangers and her Dallas Cowboys Tony Romo, who in her eyes was never at fault We will remember her humorous stories and jokes she used to tell and smile every time at the memory of her bursting out laughing before she finished the joke or story. She would have her listeners laughing with her even before they understood the joke or punch line Her beauty inside and out will always be remembered . muy pooyah or muy purty as she would often respond when asked how she was.

She was preceded in death by her son, Andres Bustos, her parents, Eusebio Luna and Merced Lara Luna, and brother, Carrudy Luna.

Survivors include her husband, Sigifredo Marquez Bustos of Odessa sister, Felicitas Tucker of Monahans Enriqueta Acosta of Odessa sons and daughters Ramon Bustos and wife, Mary, of Odessa Sigifredo Bustos, Jr. and wife Eva of Blanket Leonel Bustos of Odessa, Mary Virginia Tijerina and husband Luis of Fort Worth Mercy Aguilar and husband Carlos of Gardendale and Isabel Ruiz and husband Jessie of Fort Worth. She had many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren and family members who she loved so much. Family was everything to her.
