Sheila Diana Briscoe Rose, 67, passed away on May 3, 2022, in Odessa, TX. She was born April 2, 1955, to Clarence and Barbara Ann Briscoe Jr. in Odessa, TX. She went to school in Los Angeles, California and she graduated from Odessa High School. Sheila married Lewis Rose June 9, 2003, in Odessa, TX.
Sheila was an awesome aunt. She was member of Parks Memorial COGIC in Odessa, TX. She was a choir member, and her favorite songs were “Leaning on the Lower Side,” Walk Around Heaven All Day and “Wasn’t There a Hiding Place?” by the Mississippi Gospel Choir. Sheila was active in the women's department and in the women's ministry. She worked diligently in the kitchen and was very creative with crafts in the women's ministry.
Sheila worked for Nurses Unlimited and West Texas Food Bank.
Sheila is predeceased by her parents Clarence and Barbara Ann Briscoe Jr., sisters Virginia White, Barbara Jean Lee, Christina Tolbert and brother James A. Irvin.
She is survived by her husband Lewis Rose, siblings Shirley Jones (Billy Ray) of Los Angeles, CA, Amanda Foreman (David) of Killeen, TX, Dorothy Thomas (David) of Waco, TX, Gloria Tolbert of Los Angeles, CA, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation is set for Thursday May 12, 2022, from 10Am-9PM at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel.
A celebration service of Sheila’s life is for 2PM Friday May 13, 2022, at Bethlehem Baptist Church 1000 West Clements St. with Reverend Darren Willis officiating and Pastor Roy Colvin Sr. bringing the eulogy.
Cremation will be at a later date.
