Simona Rodriguez

Simona P Rodriguez 99, of McCamey, passed away on June 13, 2015 in McCamey, Texas.
Services will be held at 3pm Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Iglesia Apostolica located on 300 E. 1st St. in McCamey, Texas.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in McCamey.
Simona was born in Terlingua, Texas on October 28, 1915 to parents, Lucio Puentes and Petra Viscaino from Mexico.
She married Rumaldo Rodriguez and in their unity of marriage had eight children; Manuel & Benita Rodriguez,
Baltazar & Pilar Rodriguez, twin brother Gasper who died at an early age, Cesaria Marquez of Acuna, Mexcio,
Catarino & Ysidra Rodriguez, Mario H & Irma Rodriguez, Gregoria & Leroy Martinez and Pastor Luis & Viola Rodriguez all from McCamey.
She has only one sister Ms. Ysidora Sotelo from Odessa, Texas. Simona left 36 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, 93 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Simona was a very hard working lady, always working in the agriculture from planting to working in the cotton fields.
Everything she planted, grew! Her favorite past time was sewing and gardening. Simona was a member of the Apostolic Church where her youngest son
, Luis Rodriguez is Pastor. He always told him in her loving way, �½I hope you don�½t die before I do, because then who is going to preach to me?�½
She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends. She was a Grand Lady of Rodriguez family, The Queen, The Rock, The Strength!
