Susy Guzman

Susy Guzman, born on October 25, 1973, in Pecos, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2025, in her hometown. A devoted mother, she leaves behind her daughters, Jacell Carrasco and Mariah Carrasco (Jeremy Estrella), along with her sons, Joseph Carrasco (Lisette Conejo) and Manuel Carrasco, along with 9 beloved grandkids. 

Susy is survived by her beloved sisters, Marisol Guzman, Lourdes Guzman, and Criselda Chavez (Jimmy Chavez), as well as her brothers, Jesse Guzman and Martin Guzman. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Emily Figueroa and Audrey Leyva, and her six nephews who will serve as pallbearers: Hector Lujan, Israel Lujan, Eli Torres, Ryan Guzman, Alex Estrada, and Christian Estrada. 

Honorary pallbearers include Joseph Carrasco, Manuel Carrasco and Jeremy Estrella, along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, and many cousins. 

A fun-loving jokester, Susy brought joy to everyone around her and will be remembered for her infectious laughter and warm spirit. 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 1 PM to 9 PM, with a celebration of life service at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 2 PM to 3 PM at Martinez Funeral Home in Odessa, Texas, officiated by Jimmy Chavez and Joel Torres. Susy will be laid to rest at American Heritage Cemetery in Midland, Texas, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 3:30 PM.
