Tanna Porter

Tanna Rene Carroll-Porter was born in Odessa, Texas to LV and Doriner Carroll on October 11, 1957. She went to school at Ector High.
She married Darrell Porter in Odessa, Texas in July of 2004. She worked as a caregiver for over 20 years.

Tanna is preceded in death by her father LV Carroll, her mother Doriner Carroll, and her sisters, Gloria Nickerson, and Flora Carroll.

Tanna is survived by her husband Darrell Porter, her two children Shavaslyn Carroll and Sh'Caris Searcy, her brother Alfred Carroll of Denver, Colorado, her grandchildren
Danisha Carroll, Damon'tae Pardue, Keshun Pardue and a host of great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece Karren Nickerson-Abraham, her nephew Devoren Carroll, and a host of great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sh'Caris Searcy, Rafeal Hereford, Re'Itay Nickerson, Sam Wallace, Garrett Corbell, and Larry Johnson.

Memorials may be given to Shavaslyn Carroll and Sh'Caris Searcy at 304 Wabash Avenue, Odessa, Texas 79761.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Living Vision Ministries Church with Rev. Bill Tatum and Pastor James Porter.
Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in Odessa II Section. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

The family of Tanna wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Doctors and Staff at Medical Center Hospital of Odessa for all the wonderful care given to our beloved mother.
