Theresa Ramos

Theresa Arreguy Ramos, age 91, of Odessa, TX passed away on December 11, 2015 in Odessa, TX.

Visitation will be On Monday, December, 14, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Decembe4r 15, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home, 1040 S. Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX. 79761

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on December 16, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic church with Father Frank Chavez of St. Joseph officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home, Odessa, TX.

Theresa was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on December 22, 1923 to Gracien and Victoria Arreguy. She went to school in Pecos, TX. She married Benito P. Ramos on October 20, 1942 in Pecos, TX. She worked for L' Allegro Gallery framing pictures of art and later in the fashion shop. She was employed at L' Allegro for twenty-five years.

Theresa is preceded in death by her husband Benito P. Ramos, son, Johnny A. Ramos, parents Gracien and Victoria Arreguy, brother, Gracien Arreguy Jr., sister, Elidia A. Florez, and granddaughter, Sabrina Hernandez.

Theresa is survived by three daughters: Nita Ramos of Aberdeen, MD, Gloria Espinoza and spouse Juan of Austin, TX, and Viola Lara and spouse Joe of Odessa, TX. Four sons: Benito Ramos and spouse Olga of Odessa, TX, Gracien (Chan) Ramos and spouse Dolores of Kerrville, TX, Ralph Ramos and spouse Gloria of Odessa, TX, and Johnny Ramos and spouse Guadalupe of Odessa, TX. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Carolina Arreguy from Midland, TX and Dora Natividad from Del Rio, TX.

Pallbearers will be Billy Paul Alba, Roland Rodriguez, Byronn Ramos, Johann Ramos, Gracien (Chanito) Ramos, Anthony Montoya, Ralph Ramos Jr., and Johnny Ramos Jr.

The Ramos family of Theresa wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Star Hospice and all the nurses and staff that treated our mother. We appreciate all the love and care that they displayed when caring for her.
