Tommy Clyde "Cut" Christian was born to Fred Martin Christian & Flozilla McKinney on April 23, 1935, the third oldest of 12 children, in Milam City, TX. He attended Longfellow Grade School and graduated from D. W. Wallace High School in 1954 located in Colorado City, TX. He was the 1st and only one to receive a diploma in that year. While growing up throughout the years he was the shortest one in the group thus he gained the name "LowCut."
He later met and married his 2nd wife the beautiful Addie Doretha James on June 11, 1965. She would later change his name to "Cut". This union lasted until she passed on November 2, 2010. Tommy "Cut" Christian confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized as a teenager. He was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Odessa, TX where he was a dedicated deacon, choir member and soloist. He also performed in the City-Wide Brotherhood Choir and was the treasurer until he passed.
Tommy "Cut" will be greatly missed for being a loving husband, a great father and a wonderful grandfather. He always had a warm smile and a funny sense of humor. To know him was to love him. He was a friend to all who met or knew him. Although he was not perfect, he was our perfectly imperfect father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his wife Addie Doretha Christian; parents Fred Christian and Flozilla McKinney Christian; brothers William Charles "W. C.", Martin "Bud", Clarence "Datie", Jonathan "Zennie" Christian; sisters Ruby Terry Meadows, Lena "Muffin" Tillis, Mahalia "May", Thelma Jean Cook and two great-grandsons Samuel Jamal Modkins Jr. and Landon I. Allantte' Washington.
