Tommy Moseley

June 19, 1957 — July 11, 2024

On July 11th two thousand twenty-four, Tommy Moseley was surrounded by his loved ones when he peacefully slept away from this earthly realm of life.

He was born June 19th, 1957, in Hamilton County, Chattanooga, TN to his loving parents Earnestine and George Moseley. Tommy was a man who lived his life quietly and known by many as the "handyman" of all trades. Tommy has two children, Garnell and Tommy Jr. whom he had with his first wife, Brenda.

On June 29, 2024, he married his angel, Hortensia. He stated he knew it was something he needed to do. He said it was love at first sight, although it was only short lived. "As in a tale, so is life, not how long it is but how good it is, is what matters." He showed his love and affection to the very end. From this marriage he gained two additional children, Mack and Michelle.

Tommy worked for the Midland Independent School District as a Custodian from 1990 - 1994. He also worked for the United State Postal Service from 1996 to 2009 as a mail handler. Tommy liked to work with his hands. He would fix his own vehicles; he also did plumbing work, electrical work, yard work, and any kind of work that he could use his hands, he did it. That's how he got his name the, "handyman". Tommy was affiliated with the Baptist church in Midland and Odessa, Texas.

He is preceded in death by both parents, all brothers, (George Moseley, Charles Wright, Garnell Williams and Johnny Moseley). The only surviving brother is Donald Moseley (Atlanta, GA). He leaves to cherish his loving wife Hortensia, and his extended son (Mack) and daughter (Michelle). His two loving sons, Garnell and Tommy Moseley, both of Midland, TX. He also has three nieces, Sharron Webster, La Tosha Moseley and Khristi Moseley. His best friend, Rick Richardson, was cherished very much. He had a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends.

Let us hold close our favorite memory of Tommy, the one that makes our physical sense of loss a little more bearable because it keeps his presence alive. Through these difficult emotions, we find unity and strength. As we reflect on our own personal memories, may we create a massage of hope that will see us through this challenging time and bring us to a sense of closure.
