Troy William "Outlaw" Rice, 50, of Odessa, passed away suddenly on December 4, 2017 in
Odessa, Texas at the young age of 50.
Troy was born in Mansfield, Ohio to George C. and Ruth A. Rice on November 25, 1967.
Troy is survived by wife Jaymi Rice Of Odessa, daughter Monica Rice, mother Ruth Rice, sister
Hope Grissom & Husband (Kevin), sister Tami Steiner of Ohio, "Brother" Jerry Gill of Odessa,
nephew Taylor Grissom and niece Ashley Grissom, of Odessa.
Troy was employed by Butches Rathole & Anchor Services. He worked in the oilfield all his life
and loved every minute of it. He was an avid Texas Longhorn fan, and spent his 50th birthday
attending UT's last home football game of the season. He loved to play golf, and his heart was
happy when he could ride his Harley and hang out his friends. He was a man who loved a party
and was always the life of the party. Troy loved his family and friends, and would give you the
shirt off his back if you needed it.
Troy was preceded in death by his dad George Rice of Odessa and sister Kimberly VanBremen
of Ohio.
Viewing will be from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at The Martinez
Funeral Home, 1040 S. Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX. Services will be at 2:00 pm, December 9,
2017 at Martinez Funeral Home, with Chaplain Clark Racca officiating.
