Vicenta Ruth Cardenas Rios, 60, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Dallas, Texas.
Visitation will be held 10am to 9pm Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Latter Rain Ministries with
Pastor Craig DeArmond officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County in Odessa Garden II.
Arrangements are under Martinez Funeral Home. under the direction of Funeral Director Nancy Olvera.
Vicenta Ruth was born in Slaton, Texas to Juan Cardenas and Juanita De La Garza.
She went to school in Seminole, Texas. She married Manuel Rios. She graduated from
Seminole High School. She worked as a Nurse's Aide for 40 yrs.
Vicenta Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Juanita Cardenas, brother
Jose Cardenas, sister Consuelo Chavez.
Vicenta Ruth is survived by husband Manuel Rios, daughter Lisa Rios of Seminole, Texas, son
Michael Rios of Odessa, TX, daughter Jennifer Rios of Odessa, TX, son Juan Rios and wife
Chelsea Rios of Odessa and twenty grandchildren; Jeremiah, Aryn, Bethany, Danny, Jonathan, Vanessa,
Ryan, Jennifer, Kendred, Byron, Destinee, Vivian, Angelica, Dylan, Aaron, Arielle, Jordan, Jayden,
Nataly and Aaric and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Aldape, Jonathan Rios, Alfredo Bedolla, Jaime Diaz, Mark Sanchez,
Ryan Aldape, Byron Rios, and Dylan Aldape.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron Alvidrez, Jayden Hodges, Jordan Hodges and Aaric Rios.
Memorials may be given to Medical City Dallas. The family of Vicenta Ruth Rios wishes to extend
our sincere thanks to Doctors and staff at Medical City Dallas.
