Vivian S. Reyes was born in San Angelo to Ysidro and Emma Reyes on September 15th, 1950. He went to school in Lamesa,Texas. He married Mary Santos on August 28th, 1970 in Odessa,Texas. Growing up he worked at cotton gins and then as a mechanic for the oilfield in his early life. He then went on to open his own mechanic shop at home. In his early years, in his spare time, he loved racing his ‘68 Chevy at the south side quarter mile, as well as, lowriding and organizing car shows. In the early 90s up until his passing, Vivian had a passion for motorcycle riding with his wife and their many friends who knew him as “God Father.”
Vivian is preceded in death by his mother Emma Reyes, his father Ysidro Reyes, and his son Ysidro Reyes III.
Vivian was a kind and loving husband to his wife Mary, as well as an amazing father to his three children Ysidro, Jason, and Ashley. Vivian was an even more loving “Welo” to his grandchildren Erika, Luciano, and Jayden. His favorite sayings were “God bless you,” “say your prayers,” and “where’s my money.”
Vivian is survived by his wife Mary Reyes, son Jason Reyes, daughter Ashley Reyes, his brothers Cisco, Adolph, Victor, and Robert, his sisters Sylvia, Julia, Nancy, Genie, and Dena, and by his grandchildren Erika, Luciano, and Jayden.
Pallbearers will be Jason Reyes, Luciano Reyes, Jayden Reyes, Julio Reyes, Johnny Arroyos Jr., Ismael Casarez, Chris Lara, and Luis Sanchez.
Memorials may be given to Mary Reyes.
