William O. Davis Jr. passed away on November 22, 2022, in Odessa TX.

William O. Davis was born in Summerville, Georgia to Rev. William O. Davis Sr. & Maria Spruill Davis on June 5, 1934. He graduated from Hopewell High School in Reform Alabama. He was a Veteran and served in the Air Force for 4 years. After leaving the Air Force, he entered and graduated from Hutson - Tillotson College in the Spring of 1960. On August 20, 1960 he began his teaching career at Blackshear Junior-Senior High School where he met and married Lillie Pauline Newton. In 1970 he was reassigned to Crockett Junior High School. He retired from the Ector County Independent School District after 32 years. He was a member of Carter Chapel C.M.E. Church, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated, and Veterans Foreign Wars Post 6717.

William O. Davis Jr. is preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Williams O. Davis Sr., Maria Spruill Davis and a sister Georgia C. Wilder.

He is survived by his wife Lillie P. Davis: one brother, Marion J. Davis (Bobbie) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two sons William O. Davis III (Maria) & Marion J. Davis II (Alicia); two granddaughters: Anissah and Assatah; four grandsons: Christopher, Jay, Steven, Marion III; one great grandson, Parker and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be William O. Davis III, Marion James Davis II, Steven A. Baeza-Davis, Marion J. Davis III, Charlie J. Wilson, and Milton R. Hunt.

The Family of William O. Davis Jr. wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Staff at Medical Center Hospital, Veteran Affairs Hospital, Madison Medical Resort, St. Joseph's Home Health, and Continued Care Hospital.
