Winfred U. Richmond, 89 of Odessa, Texas, left this earthly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 17, 2017.
The family will be accepting guests on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 6pm to 7pm, at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, November 27, 2017, St. James Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Templeton of Mount Olive Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Los Angeles Garden of Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
Winfred was born in Axtell, TX to Grover A. and Ethel Carr Richmond on December 21, 1927. He was united in marriage to Ozelle Roan on April 17, 1954.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover A. and Ethel Richmond; wife, Ozelle R. Richmond; son, Windel L. Richmond; brothers, Attrel Richmond (Sally) and Grover A. Richmond; sisters, Virgil Lane (Wallace); and Clara Richmond; Nephews, Grover Earl and John Paul Richmond; Niece, Beverly K. Richmond.
Winfred is survived by daughters, Bettye R. Richardson, Fort Worth, TX, and Sandra C. Richmond, Baytown, TX; Grandchildren, Marvin Richardson (Lisa), Eagle Pass, TX; Melvlyn Brown (Roderick), Burleson, TX; Christel Applon (Jonnifer), Midland, TX; seven great-grandchildren; Nephew, Michael Lane (Sann), Vacaville, CA; Nicholas Roan, Tyler, TX; Nieces, Brenda Turner (Gary), Douglasville, GA; Martha L. Richmond, Dallas, TX; Evelyn Richmond, Fort Worth, TX; Mae Katherine Whities, Waco, TX; Kim Christopher (Mike), Bullard, TX and Michele Luttrell (Gerald), Mesquite, TX.
