Its not often when someone is able to touch our hearts and lives and be able to leave an everlasting impact. It takes an even more special and extraordinary person to do so even in death.

Yasmeen Bursiaga, age 18, of Odessa, Texas passed away on Monday, June 9 2014 in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Rosary and Visitation will be on Tuesday and Wednesday June 17 and 18 at 7:00 pm at Martinez Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday June 19 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Chavez of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery.

Yasmeen Bursiaga was born in Odessa, Texas to Jose and Bertha Bursiaga on March 19, 1996. She went to school and graduated at Odessa High School. She worked at Rosas Caf as well as McAllisters. She was involved in OHS Orchestra playing the viola. She was voted outstanding senior girl in orchestra and she was nominated by her peers for representative for prom court. She was also an organ donor.

We think about the impact she was able to make in peoples lives and how, now that shes gone, shes still able to change the lives of many .
Yasmeen Bursiaga will live on, as an organ donor, she will give people hope and a second chance, just as she had been doing for eighteen years. She has left us with her optimism, her memories that have graced us all, and a memorable smile that had helped us during the hardest of times.

Yasmeen is survived by her parents Jose and Bertha Bursiaga, her brothers, Joel Bursiaga and Eric Betancourt, her grandparents Celestino and Josefina Carrasco, her Aunts and Uncles Larry and Rosa Rueles, Rafael and Maria Ponce, Jose and Andrea Carrasco, Guillermo and Rosa Bursiaga, and Olga Bursiaga, her cousins Briana Rueles, Sydney, Joseph, and Stephan Carrasco, Johana, Maria, Ruth, and Rafael Jr. Ponce.
