Yolanda Irma Roman

April 9, 1942 — March 26, 2025

Yolanda Irma Molinar Roman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully Wednesday March 26, 2025, at the age of 82. She was born April 9,1942, in Terlingua Texas, to Daniel and Maria Molinar.

Yolanda was the oldest of 5 siblings: Daniel Molinar Jr. (Dally), Elia Roman (Carlos Roman), Elfidia Fierro (Sabas Fierro), and Paz Molinar (Tina). Yolanda’s life was defined by her deep love for her family and her passion for working with young children. As a dedicated mother, wife, and sister, she was a pillar of strength, and compassion.

Yolanda raised 3 sons, Randy Roman, Rodney Roman, and Ryan Roman with unwavering love and devotion. She was also the loving wife of the late Chale Roman. The bond they shared was cherished throughout their years together. Her passion for working with young children was evident in everything she did. Yolanda began her love for teaching at Head Start, then for ECISD retiring after 20 years of service, worked at St. Mary’s, and recently was still working for Odessa Candy Lane Academy. Yolanda was a nurturing spirit who touched many lives through her dedication to education and her ability to connect with others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chale Roman, her son Ryan Roman and her parents Daniel and Maria Molinar.

Yolanda is survived by her sons, Randy Roman, who lovingly cared for her this past year, s Rodney Roman (Cynthia). She was a proud grandmother to 2 granddaughters Ana-Faith Roman, Karli Hope Roman and a great grandmother to Micah Roman. She is also survived by her 4 siblings and numerous extended family members.

Yolanda’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was one of strongest, most loving women and her memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Angels Home Care Hospice for their loving care for Yolanda.

A service of remembrance for Yolanda has been set for 3pm Friday April 4, 2025, at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with Father Frank Chavez officiating. A rosary is scheduled for 11am the same day..
